The Lindsey Vonn Legacy Line combines fashion and function for ultimate performance and elegant retro-inspired designs.

Head Sportswear x Lindsey Vonn

ML Furs & Luxury Skiwear is excited to carry the Head 2023 collection. The Austrian brand aims to address different customer groups with the Ski, Rebels, Race and Legacy lines.

The Legacy line is designed with the iconic skier in mind. Featuring high-waisted Jet Pants and puffer jackets made with premium Schoeller 4-way stretch fabric.

The Gucci Vault Collection

Reigning champion of her sport and one of fashion’s most recognizable athletes, Lindsey Vonn leverages her global reputation with the launch of the Legacy Line for men and women with HEAD sportswear. As a longtime devotee of the brand’s equipment, her hands-on collaboration is designed to deliver the ultimate in performance-forward materials and elegant shapes inspired by retro design. Think Aspen meets Kitzbuhel glam.

The new collection is introduced in Vault, the experimental online space home to treasures handpicked by Michele and curated by multidisciplinary conceptual artist Max Siedentopf. The virtual shelves are now complemented by the addition of pieces by hand-picked designers, including a series of limited-edition bags from belgian maison delvaux and a selection of ties, bowties, pochettes and flower lapels from Paris’ oldest shirtmaker, Charvet.

The winter collection joins the Legacy Line for women and men, both of which are now available at Saks Fifth Avenue. Vonn recently spoke with WWD about her latest collaboration, her charitable foundation and her friendship with Mikaela Shiffrin.

The Lindsey Vonn Collection

Lindsey Vonn may be retired from competition but the Olympic champion’s spirit is still running high. Her signature ski line with Head merges fashion and function in styles designed to go from slope to apres without missing a beat. A smattering of styles are named for milestones in her career (like the UA Louise homage to Lake Louise, where she racked up 18 wins) while others add a touch of non-conventional design, like vintage camo and iridescent purple.

Think Aspen meets Kitzbuhel glam with skin-tight Jet bib pants and puffer jackets made from luxe materials like European goose down and iridescent faux fur. Cuddly, soft merino-cashmere sweaters and bodysuits (designed in collaboration with traditional lingerie brand Wolford) round out the lineup.

The Legacy Collection

HEAD Sportswear’s designer Roman Stepek explains that the line balances fashion and function. “The Legacy Collection offers the perfect mix between style and technical features,” he says. “The sleek, feminine pieces were inspired by Lindsey’s personal aesthetic.”

Athlete and fashionista, Vonn spent a good portion of the winter wear-testing the clothes to ensure they met her high standards for comfort, performance, warmth and style. The fashion-forward collection is developed in Austria and Zurich, engineered in Italy, and manufactured in Europe with premium natural materials including cuddly soft merino wool and ethical Fair Down Commitment white goose down.

From skin-tight Jet Bib Pants to a puffer jacket in baby blue, red or off-white, the ski apparel combines the elegance of vintage with the sophistication and cool of modern. The Legacy Collection also includes a sultry, leather-look bomber, a form fitting “body” that doubles as a jacket and pants, and a cozy, high-tech pullover made from cashmere and extra fine merino wool.

The Lindsey Vonn Foundation

When Lindsey Vonn abruptly retired from ski racing in 2019, she took with her a brand that had become synonymous with the sport. Now the skiing icon is leveraging that name and her reputation for style to launch an outerwear line with her long-time equipment sponsor, Austrian-American ski company Head. The winter Legacy Collection debuts this fall at Saks Fifth Avenue, adding an elevated look to the company’s more attainable performance line.

The collection reinterprets fashion and technical elements in the design process, Roman Stepek, head of marketing at Head UK, explains. “The four lines presented at ISPO Munich 2020 — Ski, Rebels, Race and Legacy — each take on different styles while keeping the brand’s performance DNA,” he adds.
